Salary: £29,799 to £38,833 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The University has transformed the delivery of student administration and support with four new teams working from our newly refurbished Service Centres and dedicated spaces across our UK campuses. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in these newly formed Student Services teams. Applications are invited for a talented manager to join the Student Services (Delivery) team. This post will manage one of the administrative teams linked to the University Park East Service Centre.The role offered will lead on the provision of high quality student management processes and will ensure the delivery of a number of services associated with the student journey. The role holder will be primarily based in one location but it is expected they will support other student services teams in service centres, faculties and schools as necessary and appropriate.
Working in a busy, dynamic environment, the successful candidate will be highly enthusiastic and self-motivated. The role demands a consistently high degree of personal responsibility and the ability to respond independently to resolve unforeseen problems and circumstances.They will have an excellent eye for detail and will be experienced in delivering a high quality service in all aspects of the role. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage their own workload and that of the team with the capacity to monitor standards and service quality and with discretion to react appropriately to changing priorities of the team.
The role holder will lead a team to a consistently high standard and will have the ability to recruit, monitor and develop staff members. Management skills are essential along with the motivation to drive forward our high standards of service in yourself and your team members. The role holder will actively seek to improve services and procedures within Policy framework and to make recommendation to support the continuous operational service provided by the team. The successful candidate will be able to develop a network of contacts to support the priorities of the Student Services and have the ability to advise and influence others within the Student Services and the wider university to ensure the delivery and implementation of high quality processes and procedures.

Work patterns may fall between the hours of 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday. Given the nature of the role, there are times when annual leave may be restricted and/or with prior notice, additional working may be required.
This position is full time, fixed-term contract until 31st March 2020. Applications for job share will also be accepted.
