Based in the School of Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Engineering Maths (SCEEM), you will provide administrative assistance, reception duties and project or event support to students, staff and visitors within this busy and dynamic School.
As the first point of contact for people arriving in the school office, you will be an important public face for SCEEM and must have strong customer service skills. The right candidate will have strong organisational, administrative and communication skills. You must have experience of prioritising work within a busy and sometimes pressurised environment.

You will provide support on projects and take responsibility for delivering certain events occurring within the school. In addition, you will provide a responsive service, dealing with a wide range of queries, issues and requests for assistance including solving problems. You should be able to work independently and also work effectively with the wider School Professional team.

You will be mainly based on the reception/front desk in the School Office and will be dealing with queries and requests for support from staff, students and visitors. You will be working under the AUA’s Professional Behaviours model and your commitment to Professional Behaviours is essential.

Experience of software packages including Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.  Familiarity with University systems and processes would be an advantage, although training will be provided.

This busy, student-facing office with a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service is an exciting place in which to work. The post would be suitable for an experienced, proactive receptionist, project/event assistant or administrator with a strong commitment to providing a high quality service to students, staff and visitors.

This post is offered on a full time, open ended contract.
