We are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to the post of School Manager of the School of Humanities in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Bristol.
You will be the professional services lead in the School with responsibility for the provision of high-quality management and administration to support the academic work of the School. 
This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking and enthusiastic manager with experience of working at a senior level in large complex organisations, preferably within the higher education sector. You should have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and be a proven strategic thinker with a strong track record in building and maintaining co-operative relationships and working in partnership at all levels.
You will be capable of providing strong leadership during a period of significant change, and will have a record of establishing innovative and practical solutions to administration and management challenges within a diverse and complex environment.
The School is at an exciting phase in its history. It has been the main beneficiary of recent University investment in newly created academic staff posts; with appointments made to 18 new academic posts for 2017-18. In addition, plans are at an advanced stage for a new Humanities Building which will provide modern infrastructure to support the education and learning in the School.
