A Level C teaching and research academic is expected to develop curriculum, teach and undertake impactful research relevant to the development of their discipline.  You will make a significant contribution towards the department’s ongoing program innovation.

About the role

In this role you will contribute towards the enhancement of the department’s reputation through improved teaching, research and partnerships with professional bodies and industries. They will contribute towards the department’s ongoing program innovation which seeks to align subjects with market demands, in relation to both curricula and delivery modes.

You will be recognised for your teaching into programs in Accounting and will display a capacity to embrace new technologies and innovation in delivery, and will work with colleagues to reshape learning and teaching, redefining the student experience through new technology, stronger collaborations and increased flexibility. Knowledge of current trends in the accounting profession and the role of data analytics is desirable in accounting and auditing is desirable.

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role you have completed a PhD in Accounting or a similar discipline.  You must have a strong track record of curriculum development and teaching and have the capacity to engage with innovations related to cross-campus teaching.  A demonstrated track record in undertaking high quality, impactful research in a relevant field is essential and you will have strong evidence of quality publications. You will be capable of supervising or co-supervising students. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
