Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Large Scale Structure. This is a full-time Research Associate position to work for 36 months on projects related to characterizing and modelling the large-scale structure of the Universe. The post holder will work with Dr. Baojiu Li, as well as other members of the ICC under the directorship of Prof Carlos Frenk and will be expected to display the initiative and creativity, together with the appropriate skills and knowledge, required to lead the research using perturbation theory and mock data catalogues to model statistical properties of the large scale structure of the Universe, and developing observational tests of cosmological models such as modified gravity and dark energy theories.

The successful applicant will be expected to have a broad range of knowledge and skills appropriate to the project goals, specifically developing analyses and models of higher-order statistics of the large-scale structure and galaxy bias, working with members of the ICC to develop these in beyond-LCDM models, and carrying out statistical analyses to test cosmological models based on mock and real observational data from future galaxy surveys.

The successful applicant will be expected to work effectively both independently and as part of a research team. It is expected that the successful applicant will enhance the international contacts of the group through the presentation of work at international conferences and will aid in the supervision of graduate students within the group.
