Working pattern    Full time
Salary   £32,548 to £36,613 per annum

PolicyBristol aims to enhance the influence and impact of University of Bristol research on policy and practice. We are seeking an excellent individual to help coordinate PolicyBristol’s programme of activities and publications that will significantly increase the status, impact and awareness of policy-relevant research at the University, with a focus on Engineering and the Physical Sciences. Target audiences include: international, national and local government; public sector; think tanks; industry and practitioner groups; the private sector; and the media.

The Coordinator’s responsibilities will include: developing policy briefing papers, supporting policy engagement activities, delivering training sessions, and overseeing online and social media activity. Alongside the Director and the wider PolicyBristol team, the role holder will also play a key part in formulating and delivering PolicyBristol’s strategy.

You should have excellent communications skills – both oral and written – and be able to assimilate and synthesise large amounts of complex information into accessible language suitable for different audiences. The Coordinator will liaise with academics and external stakeholders on a daily basis, so strong interpersonal skills are essential.  This role will be working predominantly with EPSRC-funded researchers (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council), so a background in science and/or engineering is desirable.

This position is full-time maternity cover for an initial period of one year, or until the earlier return of the post holder.

For informal queries please contact Dr Patricia Gayá, PolicyBristol Director, patricia.gaya@bristol.ac.uk

Closing date for applications: 11.59pm on Wednesday March 14th.

Interviews to be held on Monday March 26th.
