Working with UK-based FutureLearn, which has over six million learners worldwide on its collaborative learning platform, the University is planning to launch its first Master’s programmes in early 2018. The roll out of 50 online degrees over the next five years will deliver world-leading programmes, accessible to thousands of new distance learners across the globe.
The creation of supporting infrastructure within a new, dynamic and innovative business will be pivotal in helping the University Group design, develop and support wholly online distance learning courses at both pace and scale, truly pushing the boundaries to establish a broad portfolio of degree courses with a distinct style and pedagogy. As a key member of the Coventry University Online Team, a recently established company and wholly-owned subsidiary of the University Group, the Progression Coach will be responsible for the support and coaching of Coventry University Online students ensuring successful completion of courses combined with an outstanding student experience.
The ability to prioritise will be essential as the post holder will carry a caseload of students and offer timetabled support to individuals or groups of students within time limited course structures, ensuring successful completion of modules leading to further progression. You will have the ability to use data and engagement statistics to devise individual or group training needs analysis and effective implementation. You will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of individual progression and populate risk assessments and mentoring programmes for identified students. Working closely with the Tutor Services Manager, Personal Tutors and Faculty staff, the Progression Coach will be required to produce high level, detailed reports on the progress of students and interventions put in place to overcome barriers.
