Student Partners Coordinator, Representation
Student Affairs Division
Working in partnership with the Student Partners Adviser, internal and external stakeholders, this position will drive and maximise partnership opportunities for students and staff at the University of Queensland.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) (DVCA) is a member of The University’s senior executive, and is responsible for the University’s commitment to providing high-quality teaching and learning, and enhancing the UQ student experience
The Student Affairs Division falls within the DVCA portfolio, which brings together central units that provide operational, corporate, and pastoral support for all aspects of the student life-cycle.
The Division is a key driver in enhancing the UQ student experience, and retention, success, and employability. It has two operational arms: the Student Services Directorate, and the UQ Student Employability Centre. The Division also manages the University’s day-to-day relationship with UQU, and student accommodation providers, and works with UQ Health Care to ensure medical service provision for students.
The successful appointee will increase engagement and support to the UQ student partnership community by facilitating student partner recruitment, training and recognition; facilitating, increasing and supporting student representation within UQ governance, steering development of a coordinated web presence that streamlines student and staff access communication and supporting the wider cultural implementation of the students as partners ethos at UQ.
Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree, or an equivalent combination of at least three- four years relevant experience and/or education/training. You will have experience in the driving projects and initiatives designed to improve the student experience within a higher education environment and knowledge of the University’s structure as well as an understanding of policies, procedures, systems and practices in higher education or the ability to rapidly acquire.
You will have the ability to analyse data, develop reports, draft documents and integrate information from a variety of sources accurately and timely.

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment until December 2020 at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $74,207.07- $79,964.50 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $86,822 - $93,557 p.a.).
