About You

An effective communicator and strategic thinker, you will demonstrate an open, consultative style of leadership and commitment to collaborative research and the co-production of knowledge. You will have an established international reputation as an outstanding researcher and networker coupled with the proven capacity to provide strategic leadership. Successful experience of managing resources will also be important.

You will also have strong research and teaching profiles, a successful track record in research-income generation, experience of supervising doctoral students and an ability to contribute to the research mentoring of staff as appropriate across the faculty.  Experience of conducting doctoral vivas and of the external examining of research students is also required.

About the Role 

Institute for Creative Enterprise was established in 2013 to bring together researchers with expertise in the creative industries and to facilitate partnerships and fruitful connections between the University, the industries and the wider public. The post will require an individual who is an astute manager as well as a highly respected academic leader, with the ability to integrate research and teaching, and with demonstrable experience of close collaborative working with other academics and professionals outside academia, evidence through successful experience of joint working on funded research and/or knowledge exchange projects.
