Position Description

We seek applications for a Preceptor in Environmental Science and Public Policy. The Preceptor will assist broadly with curricular activities and work closely with ESPP faculty, he or she will lead tutorial courses for students writing senior honors theses and capstone projects. The Preceptor will be expected to contribute to other curricula activities, including organizing and supporting instructional field activities/trips and coordinate with faculty to develop innovative teaching materials. The preceptor will with help with identifying and training teaching fellows and teaching assistants (TFs and TAs); and the Preceptor will also have an opportunity to teach sections for ESPP courses. The duties of the Preceptor are carried out in close collaboration with the ESPP head tutor and the academic administrator.

Basic Qualifications

A graduate degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy or related discipline is required (Ph.D. preferred) along with evidence of successful prior teaching experience.

Additional Qualifications

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required, as well as demonstrated written and oral communications skills. A strong commitment to undergraduate education is desired.
