The Advanced Services Group (ASG) is a research centre of excellence within Aston Business School, Aston University and specialised in helping manufacturing and technology companies to adopt services business models. To expand our research portfolio, ASG is now seeking to appoint a Post-doctoral Research Fellow with expertise in either servitization, Product-Service Systems, business model innovation or service operations.
The successful candidate will join a growing team of researchers, industry associates and business engagement professionals based within the Business School at Aston. This team have a wealth of expertise in carrying out world-class research and translating the findings of this work into the knowledge, tools and techniques that deliver business impact.
Working closely with academic and research staff at ASG, you will be directly involved in executing business research leading to publication in high quality journals. This will include taking responsibility in leading on the design and execution of data collection and analysis, identification and synthesis of previous research contributions, and constructing journal publications. You will also assist in the day-to-day management of research programmes.
You will have a PhD in a related discipline. You must be capable of working with groups of academics and have experience in producing high quality publications (ABS 3/4). You will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collect empirical data, and the knowledge of the dominant paradigms, theories and empirical methods applicable to the abovementioned topics. Candidates who have strong knowledge and experience in working with both multinational large and SME manufacturers would also be an advantage.
