About the role
As a Senior Analyst in this highly technical role, you will be responsible for the hands-on development of analytical methodologies, the effective quality use and timely reporting of assigned analyses using liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LCMS) systems, ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (uHPLC) units, gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GCMS) and other appropriate analytical instruments.
As well as providing technical leadership to research colleagues and collaborators you will also lead the cataloguing and preparation of specimens, conduct imaging experiments and mass spectrometry assays and prepare analytical reports.
Skills and Experience
A tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Physics or a related discipline is essential, together with demonstrated applied knowledge of analytical/organic chemistry and biophotonics. It is essential that you can bring experience and timely productivity in methodological assay development and imaging studies that support the in vitro and in vivo evaluation of chemicals, nanosystems and pharmaceutical products.
With a minimum of three years’ experience working at a senior level in a research laboratory, you will have expertise in high end analytical and imaging equipment as well as experience facilitating and undertaking experimental design and sample preparation and analysis.
