The Research Fellow will pursue active research in the focus area of geographic information science and spatial computing.
The Research Fellow will be responsible for planning, developing, supporting, and engaging in high quality research projects that are aligned with the research focus in applied geographic information science. You will embed your research expertise into the life of the School through the development of high-quality, productivity-driven research networks across RMIT and with local and national, internal and external partners.
Skills & Experience Required
The ideal candidate for this position will have;
- An emerging research track record, evidenced by publications
- Ability to support a breadth of research activities
- Capacity to build effective networks and generate funding opportunities
- Strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration
In addition a PhD in a relevant field will be critical to your success in the role, whilst knowledge of R, Java, Python and other similar systems will be highly regarded.
