About the job

The Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (AGSE) is a vehicle for leadership in entrepreneurship and innovation, industry engagement, postgraduate and executive education, and entrepreneurship research in the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL). Its top-end postgraduate suite is grounded in a shared blueprint, including a focus upon entrepreneurship and innovation, disruptive and cutting-edge content, intensive delivery, industry engagement, business-to-business partnerships, applied learning and authentic assessment.

Reporting to the Deputy Director, AGSE, the Events and Marketing Coordinator, AGSE will provide planning, coordination, delivery and review of events and activities linked to the AGSE course delivery. This will include managing event-related contracts, data collection and analysis, and student and staff support.

The incumbent will also prepare marketing content for publication and communication materials and liaise with appropriate areas of the University and Faculty to ensure alignment with Swinburne branding styles. In addition, the position will provide a level of administrative and operational support to the AGSE project team and assist in streamlining processes. 

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Proven ability in the planning, design, coordination and execution of events, including resource management, catering and associated communications
  • Demonstrated understanding of planning, integrating, and tracking the performance of marketing activities, segments, channels and markets to assist in achieving successful marketing outcomes
