Position Summary:

Under broad direction, the Executive Officer provides high-level advice, analysis and support to the College leadership team and leadership to a small team of College operations support staff.

This position is an important interface between the College leadership and the broader University and external community, requiring regular professional engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders. This position is also responsible for providing high-level coordination and support of priority projects and initiatives of the College/Portfolio.

Suitability for this position:

To be successful in this role you will be able to provide high level, pro-active research support to a Flinders University College including the administration, evaluation and governance of research-related activity that support the overall strategic research goals of the College and Flinders. You will also provide effective advice and support for academic and research staff in the College and your significant experience in a similar role and completion of a relevant degree, will enable you to facilitate applications for external research grant funding and to assist in pre and post grant award operations. You will work closely with College researchers and other staff in the Research Development and Support Team and be able to work in an autonomous manner as well as provide guidance to others.
