The Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State Univer¬sity (DHBW), currently with around 34,000 students (at 12 locations) an 9,000 cooperating companies and social institutions, is one of Germany‘s largest higher education institutions. Its Stuttgart site offers more than 40 nationally and internationally recognised Bachelor degree courses with integrated on-the-job training in its School of Business, School of Enginee¬ring and School of Social Work. Currently some 8,300 students (excluding Master‘s students) are enrolled.

DHBW and its Business School invite outstanding candidates to apply for a professorship in Business Administration. We are looking for an excellent scholar with specialization in either i) Operations Management and Logistics, or ii) Finance, Accounting and Controlling.
On the basis of relevant experience in theory and praxis the candidate can represent the respective field, its ba¬sic principles, key aspects and current developments as lecturer in the Bachelor study programmes of the Business School (in English language, optionally additional in German language).
Didactic knowledge is obligatory, experience as lecturer welcome. Besides the field of activity as lecturer in corre¬sponding courses the candidate will have a role as academic supervisor and tutor for project and bachelor theses, and is expected to engage in applied research.
In adherence with § 47 of the State University Act (LHG), we require a completed university degree, specific aca¬demic skills (generally this would be a PhD), teaching ability and a minimum of five years of practical working experience, at least three years of which will be non-uni¬versity-related. The applicant must also be prepared to participate in academic development, particularly through research and scientific further education. We expect a high degree of commitment, a willingness to cooperate with the companies involved and social institutions as well as a willingness to be involved with committee work.
If the prerequisites are fulfilled, then the appoint¬ment is possible as a civil servant for life as a pro¬fessor after a trial period of three years as a civil servant, providing the candidate at the time of appoint¬ment is no older than 47, in exceptional cases 52.
