The Department of Computing is investing in its research and teaching capacity with a goal of making a substantial submission to the Computer Science and Informatics Unit of Assessment in REF 2020 and to responding to growth in student numbers.
We are seeking academics to teach across a range of subject areas within computing. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality learning environment for students and contributing to the development of new and exciting courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will join an existing research group in the department and work with colleagues to build both research capacity and deliver impact.
We have Degree Apprenticeship (HDA) courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level and will be happy to receive applications from candidates who have HDA experience and/or who are keen to work with industry.
As well as the ability to inspire and motivate students, you'll need a research profile that is on target for a strong return to the next Research Assessment Exercise (REF), alongside the ability to undertake independent high-quality research in an appropriate specialism. A PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience is essential.
