About the job

Wirringka Student Services provides information, advice and assistance to potential and current Aboriginal students. The team provides support to Aboriginal students, administers the Aboriginal Tutorial Program at the University, and facilitates a number of events on campus and in the community. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and passionate manager to make a real difference. As the Manager: Wirringka Student Services you will provide high level advice on the implementation and delivery of student focused learning and pastoral care services across the University to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. You will play a key role in improving access, participation, retention, completion and success of Aboriginal students by leading the planning, development, implementation, promotion and evaluation of services and initiatives that deliver an outstanding student experience.

Skills and Experience

You will have excellent leadership and management skills, including the ability to inspire and achieve results through others while developing their capability through mentoring and management. Well-developed strategic and problem solving skills along with a demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively in a team based environment is essential for this role. Experience working in a tertiary environment is highly regarded but not essential.
