The Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Microbiology is made up of a number of discisplines: Anatomy, Physiology (including Pharmacology, Pathology, Biophysical Sciences) and Microbiology. The department plays a significant role in teaching, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and research.  The department has a vibrant and collaborative research culture covering areas such as skeletal development, cardiovascular disease, stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative disorders, diabetes and the role of the microbiome in health and disease.

About the position

We are seeking an outstanding candidate to teach human physiology and anatomy at undergraduate level. The successful candidate will play a major role in the delivery of wholly online subjects offered by the Department.

Skills and Experience

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in human physiology or related disciplies and evidence of participation in higher level study relevant to discipline.
  • Experience of successful undergraduate teaching in human physiology, particularly teaching blended or wholly online subjects.
  • Ability to work to a flexible time schedule including after hours as required.
  • A knowledge of current and new teaching methods and pedagogies.
