Grants Manager, School of Medicine, Framingham Heart Study
Boston University's School of Medicine is seeking an experienced Grants Manager to work with the Framingham Heart Center (FHC). The center is anchored by the esteemed Framingham Heart Study, which was founded in 1948, with the ambitious goal of identifying risk factors for heart disease. Today, the study remains a world-class epicenter for cutting-edge heart, brain, bone, and sleep research.
FHC is currently home to several highly successful research faculty with a vast portfolio of sponsored activities. Candidates for this position will need to work closely with these faculty and their research support teams to prepare research proposals, and manage award lifecycle activities such as award set-up, progress reports, carry-forward and NCE requests. Though the focus of this position will be on pre-award and life-cycle reporting activities, the ideal candidate will be well-versed in both pre and post award sponsored program activities. We are building a top notch administrative team to match the outstanding faculty at FHC. To succeed in this role, and handle the competing demands of this fast paced research environment, candidates must be able to work well in a team. In addition, candidates must be well-organized, self-motivated, and present with a positive and enthusiastic outlook.
Bachelor's and 3-5 years of work experience in the administration of sponsored programs, with displayed experience in budgeting and forecasting for a research institute or center. Administrative offices are located on the Boston University Medical Campus. Occasional travel to Framingham may be required; accommodations can be made for those without access to an automobile.
