The project is a collaboration between The University of Melbourne and La Trobe University, and will investigate the impacts of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) on Australia’s cities and urban regions. It aims, first, to assess the impact of NDIS-funded services on participation of people with disability in mainstream housing, health and community services; and, second, to ascertain the adjustments made to mainstream urban policy and services and their impact on users both with and without disability.

You will play a leading role in project management, designing and carrying out interviews in Melbourne, Sydney, Geelong and Newcastle, analysing the data, and writing research papers in collaboration with a team of investigators. This position is located within The University of Melbourne’s School of Geography, under the supervision of Dr Ilan Wiesel.
