The College of Education enables students to specialise in early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary education and training. Our graduates teach in childcare facilities, preschools, primary, middle and high schools, as well as in industrial, commercial and community education. The School is committed to providing access to programs throughout the community, and to developing teaching capabilities for the Territory, particularly for Indigenous communities and remote regions.
As a Lecturer in Education, you will build the teaching profile, research capabilities and professional practice of the School in primary and/or secondary education. You will be involved in the development and teaching of units, utilising both on-campus and online teaching methods, and engagement in scholarly work that informs teaching and learning in diverse educational contexts.
To be successful, you will hold a nationally recognised teaching qualification with eligibility for teacher registration in the NT and a doctoral level qualification (or current enrolment and substantial progress to completion) in Education or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education.
