Salary: £33,518 per annum pro rata
The Centre for Learning Innovation and Professional Practice (CLIPP) builds on good practice and helps align staff with similar interests to enhance quality and learning and teaching at Aston. Our mission is to enhance students’ learning experiences and the working lives of staff through the provision of personal and professional development. Forming part of CLIPP is the Centre for English Language and Communication at Aston (CELCA), a centre which specialises in developing and delivering English for Academic Purposes courses for international students as well as providing expertise in the fields of English language and Communication for Aston University students, staff and external stakeholders.
Applications are sought from suitably experienced and qualified tutors to teach on our pre-sessional EAP programmes in July, August and September 2017. The pre-sessional programmes are intensive courses which aim to prepare students who hold conditional offers for studying at undergraduate and postgraduate level at the University.
You will join a team of experienced, committed and supportive EAP practitioners and will be teaching on a BALEAP accredited, well-organised and effectively managed course. This is a full-time role with up to 25 hours of contact time, regular marking and staff meetings. However, part-time opportunities will be available between 25 July and 7 September 2018. 18 week programme: 2 May – 7 September 2018
12 week programme: 13 June – 7 September 2018
6 week programme: 25 July – 7 September 2018
4-week programme: 8 August – 7 September 2018
