At UWS, we believe in our students’ future. We have a proud record in delivering real-world-ready graduates and developing effective partnerships with business, industry and the public and voluntary sectors. With our cutting-edge courses, practical knowledge, and intelligent teaching, we help our students get ahead.

UWS, as one of Scotland’s biggest modern universities with campuses in Ayr, Dumfries, Lanarkshire and Paisley, is the local university for over 30% of the population of central Scotland. It also has a growing national and international reach; our 5th UK campus opened in London in September 2015 and already has over 1000 students.

UWS was officially recognised by Times Higher Education as being in the top 3% of universities worldwide in their World University Rankings 2018 and we were ranked by them in the top 200 universities under 50 in the THE Young University Rankings 2017. UWS was also placed in the top 100 UK universities for the first time in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.

As Dean of the School of Business & Enterprise you will help drive this dynamic and ambitious organisation forward in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Your senior academic experience or your equivalent experience in business or the public sector will help us to strengthen the reputation of UWS for teaching and research excellence, and ensure that our student experience remains one of our strongest assets. You will also lead on the School’s strategic and operational planning, portfolio development and global reach, building on significant successes already achieved.
The School of Business & Enterprise operates across all five of our UK campuses and is currently the University’s largest School with around 5000 students enrolled across all campuses and delivery modes. A range of validated/franchised programmes is delivered with local colleges across Scotland and the School’s growing international links include partners in Malaysia, India and Siberia.
