The role and its responsibilities
 
As Director of Library Services and Librarian you will provide effective leadership and management of the School’s Library, Archives, and Special Collections (Library Services) from strategic development to service delivery. You will develop, implement and evaluate an integrated strategy for the full range of Library Services in line with the vision and objectives of the School, particularly in support of teaching, learning and research. You will strengthen the position of the Library as a leader in the HE sector both in the UK and internationally, and maximise the benefits to be derived from its National Research Library status.
 
Skills and experience
 
You will have a strong understanding of the climate of the Higher Education sector in the UK and internationally with substantial experience of successful leadership in a large academic and/or research Library.
