We are seeking to appoint a Research Development Manager to work across all Faculties providing strategic research development support relating to the Global Challenges Research Fund and other ODA related funding. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly valued team, based within the Division of Research and Enterprise Development.  The post is offered on an open ended basis with funding currently fixed until 31 July 2021.
 
You will work within a professional, highly motivated team and with the academic community to provide strategic support for internationally focused research portfolios within all Faculties of the University. In addition you will play a key role in building capacity in relevant interdisciplinary areas of research, including contributing to training in various formats, leading and facilitating workshops and managing internal strategic funds, and will provide expert advice on preparation of major or strategic research bids, identifying and evaluating key opportunities for future research funding.
 
We are looking for someone who can work both in a team and on their own initiative and you should have either a postgraduate degree or equivalent experience and have a good knowledge of research funding. Experience of working in the HE or funding sector would be particularly useful. Strong interpersonal, organisational and IT skills are essential.
