Future Food Fellow - Nutrition

This fellowship position will work with nutritional, biomedical and clinical colleagues to assess the impact of innovations in food production and processing on their digestion and absorption, the bioavailability of nutrients, and the impact of such food on gastrointestinal and liver health.  Working across the Faculties of Science and Medicine and Health Sciences they will have access to state-of-the-art facilities to conduct experiments in animals and/or humans. This includes excellent animal (both laboratory and farm) facilities, the David Greenfield Human Physiology Unit and the NIHR Nottingham Digestive Diseases Biomedical Research Centre. The successful candidate will work within the newly established Future Food Beacon research community, where they will be expected to set up an independent research group which attracts public and/or charitable research funding, and establishes an excellent publication record in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.

Please send your two-page CV, one-page covering letter and a one-page summary of your research proposal to Future-Food@nottingham.ac.uk by the 11 March 2018.
