The School is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to make a significant contribution to the School’s Masters and Undergraduate programmes. Able to teach across the broad field of education, we are particularly looking for someone with a strong track record in Teaching and Learning in schools and/or higher education. This is a full academic role, and the post-holder’s contribution will span scholarship, teaching, research and administration.

The successful individual will play an active role in the school’s research community, should be able to contribute to doctoral supervision, the development of research grants, and the production of high quality publications. The post holder would be expected to actively participate in the work of one of the research centres.

Teaching responsibilities for the role will be shaped according to best fit, but there are opportunities to teach across a wide range of Masters, Undergraduate and Doctoral level teaching across our UK and Hong Kong Programmes. Role holders are expected to take responsibility for unit design, building strong links between their research and their teaching practice.

The School and the wider University offers a thriving intellectual culture in which both research and teaching are valued and in which colleagues are encouraged to develop high aspirations and supported to achieve them.
