The Faculty of Business, Economics & Law
The University of Queensland’s Faculty of Business, Economics and Law aims to be a centre of excellence, providing quality education and leadership in research for the benefit of our students, graduates and the wider community. The Faculty incorporates the UQ Business School, School of Economics, the TC Beirne School of Law, the Australian Institute for Business and Economics and the Centre for the Business and Economics of Health.
In this role, you will coordinate and oversee the Faculty’s events as well as manage the Faculty’s presence and involvement in UQ events, such as Open Day. You will be required to manage all aspects of events including logistics, venue and supplier engagement, speaker recruitment and liaison, budgeting, guest lists and invitations, event correspondence, trouble-shooting, making travel arrangements and post-event evaluations. In addition, you will supervise the Events Officer and recruit and train our casual Student Ambassadors.
Applicants should possess substantial experience in managing high quality events and relevant tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training. Highly effective organisational and events planning skills, attention to detail and strong interpersonal and oral communication skills will be essential for this role.
This is a full-time, fixed-term for approximately 14 months, appointment at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $74,207 - $79,964 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5% (total package will be in the range $81,256 - $87,561 p.a.).
