About the role

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Educational Leadership.

Scholarship of Educational Leadership is a growth area in the School of Education, and within this new role your focus would be to build and grow a successful master’s program (Master of Applied Leadership in Positive Education). Additionally you would take a leadership role in teaching and research across the various disciplines of the School of Education, where your expertise in innovative pedagogical, theoretical and content knowledge in leadership and one additional discipline of education would be required.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated capacity in teaching and research and service of Educational Leadership spanning the areas of Professional Studies e.g., School, Health and Vocational Education and Training.  A strength in Action Research or other applied research models would also be desirable for this role.

Skills & Experience

For appointment at Senior Lecturer Level, you will have a doctoral qualification in an education field with a sound scholarly research record in the discipline area of Leadership and one other discipline area, and extensive experience in an Education setting as well as sound knowledge of contemporary Leadership research, policies and practices. 

For appointment at Associate Professor Level, you will have a doctoral qualification in an education field with a leading scholarly research record in the discipline area of Leadership and one other discipline area, with extensive experience in an education setting as well as extensive knowledge of key research theories, policies, trends and practices, in Leadership.
