The ARC Centre of Excellence in Future Low-Energy Electronics Technologies (FLEET) is an international innovator in novel electronics technologies. The centre brings together more than 40 world-leading experts who will apply cutting edge science to develop a new generation of ultra-low power electronic devices.
We are seeking an exemplary Research Fellow to join our FLEET team to conduct research in experimental condensed matter physics, nanoscience and ultrafast photonics. The successful candidate will investigate atomic-scale ultrafast charge dynamics at solid interfaces by means of time-resolved scanning probe microscopy and complementary pump-probe spectroscopy techniques.
As the successful candidate, you will be expected to publish papers in high-impact journals, present results at major conferences and workshops, and to assist in the supervision of PhD and honours students in the centre. The appointment will be made at a level appropriate to your qualifications, experience and in accordance with classification standards for each level.
The successful applicant must hold a PhD in Physics or closely related field, with a strong background in experimental condensed matter physics, nanoscience, nonlinear optics and/or ultrafast photonics. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to produce presentations and refereed research papers and reports.
