We are seeking an Admissions Assistant to join our successful Admissions Team at York St John University. Admissions Assistants play a vital role in ensuring that the experience for our applicants is as smooth and stress free as possible and will deal with a wide variety of tasks from setting up student records to being the first point of enquiry for applicants.
We are looking for a confident, organised person with customer service experience and good IT skills, who is prepared to be flexible and perform a number of different tasks according to the needs of the team. The successful candidate will need to be a confident communicator and someone who has the ability to learn new skills and work with others, both within the team and across the university.
Whilst experience of working within Higher Education administration is desirable, the role is open to candidates from other backgrounds as the role is an excellent introduction to working in Higher Education and wide experience of admissions and the university as a whole will be gained. We are a compact, community based university with a strong sense of mission and a real desire to give back to our community and provide our students with the best possible experience while here and to enhance their prospects once they leave us.
