The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.
The Role & Your Responsibilities
The Senior Officer, Information Capability is responsible for the effective delivery of University-wide information management capability projects. Working collaboratively with RMIT's Information Technology team, this role leads the design and delivery of efficient, compliant, innovative and effective information infrastructure for business records management and archiving across the University. This position is responsible for cultivating information capability by delivering integrated information management systems, training and communications fit for their purpose using the latest digital technology.
Skills & Experience Required
As the successful candidate you will show Innovative leadership of projects and change management skills. You will have expertise in emerging technologies to manage data and information, now and into the future. Understanding and application of information governance and compliance in the University sector will be imperative to your success in this role. Superior networking and collaboration between a broad range of information technology experts and client groups will be highly advantageous.
