We are now looking to appoint a Lecturer in Mindfulness and Compassion to join our highly regarded team of academics delivering modules on our MSc Mindfulness and Compassion. You will be a highly motivated and experienced academic and/or practitioner with previous management experience. You will be a confident and clear communicator with a high level of inter-personal skill, and personal effectiveness to promote an outstanding experience for all our stakeholders. Applicants must have practiced Mindfulness for at least 5 years, have completed the 8 week Mindfulness course and have had further teacher training in this area. Knowledge in the area of Compassion, a Master's degree and experience of delivering in an educational setting, are also essential.
The School is recognised for the high quality of its provision of applied and professional courses. This includes a broad portfolio of on-campus, off-campus, blended and distance learning courses both discipline and profession specific. The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences has strong partnerships with employers and placement providers from a range of sectors including Local Authority Social Services, Strategic Health Authorities, NHS Trusts, education, and the independent, voluntary and the private sectors.  Research activity is an integral part of the Faculty's business and there is a strong commitment to enabling staff to engage in a wide range of research and scholarship. You will be given opportunities to develop your research interests and are expected to contribute to the Faculty's research profile.

Coventry University offers academic support and professional development support and provides the opportunity for staff without a recognised teaching qualification to undertake the PGCE.
