About You

Highly proactive and entrepreneurial in approach: you will generate and realise knowledge exchange opportunities, drive student engagement and secure industry partners for a variety of collaborations. You will have excellent communication skills, be flexible and be able to identify opportunities, and maintain high levels of professional integrity with stakeholders.

Keenly interested in technology, you will understand the challenges and responses in student employability, and student and employer engagement. You will ideally have an understanding of the key stakeholders and funding landscape for knowledge exchange activities in the higher education sector.

To be successful you will be educated to degree level, with evidence of continuing professional development, along with a real desire to advance knowledge exchange activities.

About the Role

You will lead the development of new business opportunities in the Computer Science Department and be responsible for identifying a range of funding opportunities. It will be your role to engage with staff and industry, to advance and maximise knowledge exchange collaborations.

With responsibility for driving, maintaining and managing projects activity, you will work closely with colleagues within the Department, Faculty and wider University context. On an ongoing basis you will liaise with our employability coordinator to identify and manage student projects and overall, support students to develop skills and behaviours which maintain the departments high standards on employability.
