The role and responsibilities:

The Senior Coordinator, Admissions and Pathways is responsible for the coordination of admission standards and pathway arrangements for the College of Design and Social Context (DSC), covering its Higher Education and Vocational Education (VE) programs, onshore and offshore. This position manages and coordinates admission standards, entry requirements, admissions transparency and pathway requirements and works collaboratively with external areas of the university to ensure that published DSC admissions standards are accurate and timely for domestic and international applicants The Senior Coordinator provides authoritative and timely advice to members of the College and School Executive teams, selection officers and program managers. This includes strategic advice to inform student load targets and associated selection planning and performance.

Skills & experience required:

To be successful in this position you will bring to the role your high-level administrative and organisational skills with the proven ability to exercise autonomous judgement and initiative.

You will have demonstrated understanding of Higher Education and VE selection and admissions policies and imperatives, in particular VTAC processes, Direct Entry, International student and Access and Equity selection processes. You will have the ability to exercise high level analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail in a demanding environment.

Your ability to lead, direct and influence others to achieve a collaborative and co-operative work environment, working to tight timelines and under pressure during annual admissions' cycles will be the key to your success in this role. Your high level interpersonal and communication skills in order to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external groups, and deal effectively with conflicting requirements from diverse stakeholders will also be critical to your success in this role.
