The Equality and Diversity Team sits within the Finance and Planning Directorate and is responsible for enabling the University to develop and deliver its strategic equality and diversity ambitions.  The Athena SWAN and Race Equality Charters for which the post holder will be responsible for will be integral to the successful implementation of our equality and diversity objectives.   

We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, and who possesses excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. The role will involve working collaboratively across the University with a number of stakeholders at all levels to actively advance equality and diversity. 

The role requires the postholder to contribute to the embedding of the University Equality and Diversity strategic objectives into annual planning activities, including horizon scanning, the provision of business intelligence to support corporate level strategy development, performance review, and the integration of corporate, faculty, and department planning activities. 

In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to E&D projects and process improvements relevant to the development of planning across the University, providing specialist advice and guidance to colleagues across multiple services and functional areas.
