The Research Fellow will implement and conduct high quality scientific research and report on research outcomes in line with research goals and milestones of the Translational Oncology Laboratory, facilitating collaboration and translation of research findings.

Scheduled to open this year, the HIB will be an integral part of Adelaide’s Biomed City on North Terrace, opening up a number of new health research, teaching and community engagement opportunities.

A University of Enterprise

The University of South Australia provides an exciting and dynamic environment for teaching and research that continually extends the boundaries of knowledge and its application. UniSA is committed to the creation and application of knowledge and is recognized internationally for its high quality applied and fundamental research.

The Translational Oncology Laboratory undertakes research in immunotherapeutic approaches for melanoma, brain and lung cancers. The major technologies of interest are chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) for re-directing lymphocytes toward cancers, antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) for targeting potent cytotoxins to cancers, and antibody radio-conjugates for targeting ionizing radiation to cancers. Of emerging interest is the combination of these approaches with immune checkpoint inhibitors, which are being used routinely now in the clinic.
