Program Manager, Exchanges, Study Abroad
Handle all logistical aspects of Boston University Study Abroads incoming and outgoing exchange programs, as well as other study abroad programs as assigned. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Enrollment Services, serve as the primary contact and source of information for the participants, addressing issues related to specific program features (academics, housing, visas), program-specific prerequisites and application procedures, admissions decisions, orientations, and advising. Liaise with host/sending institutions as necessary, as well as Boston University offices and colleges to inform, advise and retain Boston University Study Abroads applicants.
B.A./B.S., Masters preferred in education or related field. Knowledge of a second language and international experience abroad strongly preferred.Excellent Microsoft Office skills and database applications, excellent public speaking, presentation and writing skillsare essential, along with managerial, organizational, and administrativeskills. High level of self-sufficiency, personal and professional knowledge of international education and Boston University study abroad programs strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal skills required. Must be able to balance competing priorities and manage work cycles that are tied to the admissions and exchanges calendar and includes intense work times. Two to four years of experience in higher education with emphasis on exchanges/working with host institutions and international students. Occasional travel and irregular hours may be required. This is a grant funded position.
