As a key member of the Lancashire School of Business and Enterprise Executive Team, you will make a significant contribution to the development of the University's academic and strategic vision for research and innovation.

Working with the Executive Dean, you will develop and lead research across the Lancashire School of Business and Enterprise. Liaising with the Professoriate, Head of Research Centres and the Unit of Assessment coordinators you will nurture and enhance our national and international reputation for research excellence.  Leading a variety of activities designed to commercialise research and exploit innovation opportunities, you will develop creative solutions to drive income generation and diversification. You will play a critical role in developing the School's research environment, and build our postgraduate research culture, promoting research-informed teaching and learning strategies, as well as mentoring and supporting colleagues in their career development and pursuit of innovation.

With a Doctorate in an appropriate discipline, you will already have a Professorial title.  Your significant leadership experience should include managing research and consultancy projects, income generation, and co-ordinating resources while working within regulatory processes and governance systems.

You must have the ability to develop and implement strategy, lead a change management agenda, and inspire others to embrace new ways of working. With an impressive record of research outputs and involvement with outside bodies, you should have demonstrable peer credibility. As well as excellent leadership and team building skills, you will need to demonstrate the successful supervision of PhD students.
