The School of Social Sciences (SOSS), Singapore Management University, invites applications for one open rank Education Track position in Science, Technology, and Society to begin in July 2018. The ideal candidate would contribute to the delivery of the University’s Core Curriculum and offer courses under a “Technology and Society” heading, such as “Artificial Intelligence and Society,” or “Technological Solutions to Social Problems”.

The position requires a doctorate in the relevant discipline by the date of appointment. We seek candidates with a demonstrated record of, or high potential for, excellent teaching, as well as strong research.

Singapore Management University is a research university committed to an interdisciplinary and integrated curriculum, providing opportunities to work with faculty across the social sciences. The research support is excellent. Salary and benefits are highly competitive. The teaching load is comparable to other research universities, with undergraduate classes capped at 45 students. 

Full evaluation of applications will start 5 March 2018. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will begin in March 2018. This position will be open until filled.
