Location:     University Park
Salary:     £17,399 to £20,624 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the role of Business Operations Administrator within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Nottingham. The role will be responsible for providing support to the Business Operations Team and will be one of the primary contacts for HR operational matters.

The role will be responsible for assisting in HR activities with particular focus on recruitment, casual workers and visitors whilst supporting and guiding current staff. In addition, the role-holder will be responsible for the efficient monitoring and maintenance of systems within the Faculty, maintenance of local records and approval of daily requisitions. The role-holder will be expected to work across a range of HR and financial activities, providing support and advice to staff.

With a strong customer-focused approach, candidates should have a good standard of education with five GCSE's or equivalent including English and Mathematics, plus previous work experience in a related role.

Key skills will include proficiency in Microsoft Office (Work and Excel), internet and email. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Knowledge of Agresso or similar financial systems would be desirable.

Candidates will need proven administrative skills, and excellent written and verbal communication and an awareness of the basic principles or standardised work routines of the field of work. An ability to define priorities and work under pressure is essential given this is a fast pace busy office environment to work in. The candidate must have the ability to multi-task to achieve deadlines and therefore must be capable of working independently whilst being a strong team player.

Experience of working in a HE and/or HR environment would be desirable.
Training will be provided for the successful candidate.
