Salary package: $85,023- $ 89,370 per annum plus 17% superannuation

The Department of Pacific Affairs (DPA) is seeking an experienced researcher to support its major programming activities on women’s leadership in the Pacific. The Senior Research Officer will undertake high-quality research and apply evidence-based learning in the development of program activities.
The ANU College of Asia and the Pacific (CAP) leads intellectual engagement with the Asia-Pacific region through research, teaching and contributions to public debate, and seeks to set the international standard for scholarship concerning the region.
DPA is a vibrant research unit in the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs. The Department is the leading international centre for applied research into contemporary governance issues in the Pacific. In addition to its scholarly goals, DPA maintains a strong commitment to active engagement with policy communities in the region and Australia.
DPA is currently implementing two major gender initiatives funded by the Australian aid program, the Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) and the PNG Women in Leadership Support Program (PNG WiLSP). The Senior Research Officer will manage and implement a research program to assess the impact of WLI activities and inform their development. They will also support the design and delivery of evidence-based PNG WiLSP program activities. They will develop outreach products and support engagement that communicates research findings to key audiences, in relation to both programs and DPA’s gender research more broadly.
