Cranfield School of Management has long been recognised as a leading centre of excellence for research and teaching in Accounting and Finance, and we are seeking to further strengthen this. Our MSc in Finance & Management programme is currently ranked 4th in the UK by the Financial Times amongst the top finance masters programmes worldwide. There is a thriving research culture in the Finance and Accounting group, and we actively support participation in international conferences, supervision of PhDs via bursaries, and networking opportunities with business.

The new appointment will be expected to teach on Master/MBA programmes and on executive and customised education programmes. As such, we are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and inspiring academic to contribute to the continued development of the accounting and finance research and teaching.  In particular, we are looking for an experienced academic with specialisation in one or several of the areas of Finance and Accounting.
For the Lecturer post, you must have a growing track record in teaching ideally in both graduate and executive education and you will have at least a developing portfolio with papers for submission to high-quality journals.
For the Senior Lecturer post you must have a strong track record in teaching ideally in both graduate and executive education and you will have publications already in internationally-rated publications as per the Chartered Association of Business School’s 3* and 4* journal ranking.

You will already have a Doctorate (Senior Lecturer) or at least a Doctorate close to completion (Lecturer) in Finance or Accounting. Previous industrial experience and/or a professional finance qualification are desirable attributes, but not essential. A recognised teaching qualification will also normally be held, but if not, you will be required to enrol on a Cranfield-run course to gain a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching, Learning and Development.

For an informal discussion and further details about the position, please contact Professor Yacine Belghitar, Head of Finance and Accounting group via email: Yacine.belghitar@cranfield.ac.uk
