About the position
The Bond University Centre for Research in Evidence-Based Practice (CREBP) is a successful, multidisciplinary team established in June 2010 by Professor Paul Glasziou. Professor Glasziou is a leader in evidence-based practice working to improve health care by developing better communication between clinicians and researchers, and a clearer understanding of the causes of, and solutions to, gaps between research evidence and its application in practice.
Our mission is to intelligently and efficiently close the gaps between best available evidence and current clinical practice. This position will lead a program of methodological research in an area related to the Centre’s goals to improve the conduct and use of clinical research by health care workers and patients. This role will also provide statistical support for systematic reviews and primary research within the centre and assist with workshops and conferences.
About the person:
The successful applicant will possess a PhD in statistics, or Masters equivalent and several years relevant experience. A proven track record in securing externally funded research and/or an established record of publication in high impact journals is also required, as is knowledge and experience in designing and analysing systematic reviews and primary research, particularly randomised trials and cohort studies. Demonstrated tertiary teaching experience and the ability to supervise HDR student are essential.
