The Department of Community & Allied Health is situated in the La Trobe Rural Health School at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University.  The Department offers a range of innovative undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs that include disciplines within allied health and public health.

About the position

This position will undertake a lead role in research, teaching and curriculum development in the field of Public Health.  In addition to maintaining an active research portfolio, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to implementing agreed reforms to the Bachelor of Health Science program on the Bendigo campus, particularly with respect to the development and delivery of the Rehabilitation Counselling, and Sports Counselling and Athlete Welfare majors for 2019.

Skills and Experience

  • A PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in curriculum development and teaching with a commitment to excellence in teaching.
  • Record of successful research student supervision.
  • Strong record of research publication, with appropriate evidence of quality and impact.
  • Success in obtaining research funding from grants/contracts/consultancies.
