The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.
The Role & Your Responsibilities
The Employer Liaison Officer develops employer relationships which maximise student employment opportunities, including Work Integrated Learning (WIL) for RMIT's diverse student and graduate community locally and globally. This position has a high level of day-to-day autonomy and is responsible for the identification and implementation of innovative strategically targeted employer services. The position is also responsible for the development, marketing and delivery of a range of global employment activities and events that will position students to be successful in clarifying and achieving their career and employment objectives.
Skills & Experience Required
As the successful candidate you will be confident in your communication and networking skills to develop and support relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including global employers, industry and professional networks, community organisations and RMIT students, alumni and staff. You will also identify, develop, and implement a range of innovative face-to-face and online global employment services, events, resources and opportunities that are targeted and responsive to stakeholders needs. Your capacity to think and work innovatively, effectively and flexibly in a multi-disciplinary team environment will be imperative to your success in this role.
A record of achievements in a relevant work area such as marketing, recruitment, human resources management or employment services within a tertiary institution would be valued.
