The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.
The Role & Your Responsibilities
The Shared Services, RMIT Connect & Student Life role is responsible for providing RMIT Connect's back-of-house and student facing staff with operational and administrative support. This role is key to ensuring the successful operation of student-facing services through the efficient and effective delivery of administrative support, in accordance with the University's administrative policies and procedures. The Shared Services role includes support related to resource management (IT, finance, property and HR) and day-to-day office operations.
Skills & Experience Required
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of quality office management. You will have well-developed interpersonal and problem solving skills, with the ability to take initiative in identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve existing practices and services. Proven ability to work effectively in a team as well as the ability to work autonomously is critical to the success of this role.
