Philanthropy is integral to the University’s broader strategic vision to enhance world-class education, student experience and transformative research. Having successfully completed the £242 million Impact campaign, the University is looking to grow the development function at Nottingham and further embed philanthropy into the wider university community, both nationally and internationally.

Working closely with the University’s President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shearer West, the University Executive Board and key stakeholders including senior external advocates of the University, the Director of Advancement will deliver on strategy to enhance the University’s engagement with supporters, donors and partners.

Candidates will be passionate about Nottingham’s mission and vision and will bring a successful track record of building effective, long-term, high-value philanthropic relationships together with evident fundraising campaign experience. This is an exceptional opportunity to build and embed a strategy for philanthropy that is at the heart of Nottingham’s mission and vision. Working with the very highest calibre of individuals across the globe, the Director of Advancement will be able to have a transformative impact.

An executive search exercise is being undertaken by Perrett Laver who will support the University in identifying the widest possible field of qualitied candidates and assist in their assessment against the requirements for the role.
