The Global Development Portfolio is responsible for making RMIT genuinely global in reputation, operations and outlook. Under the leadership of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Development) and Vice President, the portfolio:

  • identifies, reviews and harnesses opportunities to further enhance RMIT's global model,
  • nurtures RMIT alumni and stewards RMIT's philanthropic activity,
  • leads and coordinates RMIT's global education partnerships,
  • manages global experience opportunities for RMIT students, staff and alumni.

In addition, it connects and coordinates RMIT's presences throughout the world including RMIT entities in Australia, Vietnam and Europe (Spain) and representative offices in other countries.

The Role & Your Responsibilities

In this position you will contribute to the implementation and activity management for global education partnership programs and business development opportunities. Conduct research and fact checking in relation to current and potential partnership activities, review and monitor relevant in-country requirements and be aware of local cultural considerations in countries where RMIT undertakes global education delivery. Input to reports and prepare travel and partner briefings for the Senior Management Team.

Skills & Experience Required

As the successful candidate you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of education systems, markets and environments that are relevant to RMIT's global education delivery activities. You will be commercially focussed with the ability to identify new opportunities for RMIT. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail, including the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external stakeholders will be imperative to your success in this role. In addition, you will demonstrate the ability to maintain accuracy whilst managing a demanding workload.

Additional Skills that are strongly desirable:

  • Business development background
  • Experience with SalesForce
  • MS Office - Good Excel and PowerPoint Skills
